With the discussion on coldframes, thought I'd check back on the topic of coreopsis Limerock Ruby - Did anyone have it overwinter successfully? Does anyone have ideas of how to overwinter it successfully? I'm noticing that various catalogs now have quite different opinions about suitable zones. I bought a plant this spring and it is coming into full stride and I LOVE it! We generally have good snow cover and sandy, well-draining soil, but is that sufficient for zone 5, or...Ok - I had one live and one die! the one that lived was slightly below grade, near rocks. I lost all of my Sweet Dreams coreopsis.
(I know, early to talk overwintering)
