Well, being a manure mix ( I couldn't read the whole label)  I would suppose it could be too "hot" to plant directly into it, but when incorporated into the soil, might be beneficial.  Also, manures might carry certain bacteria we shouldn't handle without gloves.  Still people have used manures to amend soils for centuries, (eons?)  with good and safe results.  Myself?  I'm a bit squeamish about dumping layers of horseshit on a garden bed to be tilled in, rendering a fertile place to plant squash, but I know it works well for people.  Just not me.

This was the warning label and how to use which I only read after buying.  If one can't plant directly into or use hands to mix, I just do not need it.  My little frogs certainly do not need to be around it either.
