it's been an off summer here too -  really hot and humid. I've been plagued 
by ground hogs - they've destroyed many plants. I lost 
my new phlox to them along with some of my morning glories. Voles and 
chipmunk tunnels aren't helping anything either.

Day-lilies looked pretty good for the early part of the summer; not so much 
now. I've recently been plagued by bittersweet as well and need to go cut 
that back

It's raining today - wonder if I'll need to move the hose to so my son can mow
