Oh!  I got it all wrong. I thought you wanted to create a hybrid. You want to 
prevent it. Duh!
Sorry, I don't know that either. How big is your yard?

Well, the other side of it is if I get seedlings and they look like S. 
lasiocarpum, can I treat them as the straight species when handing them out 
to people.  :)

But yes, I would probably hand-pollinate if I was trying to encourage a 
cross.  If I remembered.  :)
