Duncan,
When my Pacific Giants have threatened to fall over I use a long thin piece
of bamboo used to stake plants. I grow mine in tomatoe cages anyway which
helps hold up the main plant and after they leaf out it is pretty much
covered. Then slide a long green piece of bamboo in the back and tie your
flower stalk to the bamboo as high up as needed. If you use green it
doesn't show.
I'm going to try the English next year, do they get a large as Pacific
Giants?
