re: Poison Ivy!

I use this
technique for removing poison ivy:
Wearing washable gloves,
put your gloved hand into a plastic grocery bag and grab the poison ivy plant
and pull it out of the ground, roots and all. Then turn the bag inside out,
knot the top and throw it away in the garbage. Immediately wash your arms and
hI us with a good strong soap such as Fels-Naptha and wash the gloves.

I am sympathetic to your plight, as I an extremely allergic to poison ivy, oak
& sumac. Unfortunately, as long as birds eat the berries off these plants in
the wild, they will sprout up in your perennial beds. I have found that this
removal process works, even though I have to gather up some considerable
courage to grab the plant itself.

Good luck!
Stacey
