Sheila:
Here are a few answers, they are as accurate as my information
is.
1. Almost all of the hardy geraniums will bloom more than once,
especially if you do not let them produce seed. I can usually get three
blooms from most of mine if I remember to cut them back.
2. This is where using common names can sometimes cause confusion. What
I know as Cardinal Flower is a lobelia, Lobelia cardinalis or any of its
many cultivars. Just about any nursery worth a darn, and any seed
catalotue should have it.
3. Go to the library, use any of the web search engines, or check out my
website http://www.royalroads.ca/docs/gardens/home.html
Have fun, and remember a bed full of weeds beats an immaculate lawn
anytime.
