Dear Duncan,
This sounds wonderful for you. I was reminded that in the magazine Garden
Design, June/July 1997, there is a feature by Cheryl Merser on the garden
of Betsy Barlow Rogers, the administrator of Central Park until 1995.
Rogers has written a book on Frederick Law Olmsted, the park's chief
designer 1858-61, and her own garden has been inspired by his ideas.
Currently, Rogers heads the Cityscape Institute, which raises money for
enhancing public spaces.
This may not be news to you, but perhaps it will give you a few useful leads.
Best regards,
Linda
