Thanks for your suggestion, Alice, but it won't work for me until I
get rid of the roots. You wouldn't believe how tough they are. I
tried to dig up the area with a newly sharpened spade and it wouldn't
penetrate the roots at all. I think I'm going to try the Finale, as
someone else suggested and then use your idea to keep them from
returning once I have gotten rid of the roots.
