Hi Jeanne,
I'm also a new gardener and I understand your frustration. I am starting to
move things around to balance out my colors and my high/low plants. I also
just dug a new bed, and intend to be more careful with my planning/planting.
I'm not overly fond of yellow, but I think that Evening Primrose is very
pretty and has been blooming here for about 1 month. It is also a quick
bloomer for people like us who want things to bloom 10 minutes after we
plant them. ;~).
