I have one pansy plant that I planted in early May 1997.
This one plant bloomed all last summer and all winter, even
under the snow (what little we got this year.) It's
blooming still, amidst a bed of snow white allysum that self
seeded. There are a few other pansies that also self
seeded, but this one plant never died back at all.
Seeing those beautiful blue faces amidst the snow was an
inspiration last winter. I will definitely be planting
pansies this fall.
