I do the same thing and although they do still spread a bit, they are not a
problem. It also helps that mine are planted in front of a very crowded bed
and the other plants are much larger. There isn't really much space for them
to take over. I guess adding them to established beds is safer than putting
them in new ones. They sure do make a lovely border when they are in bloom!
