Rachel, I got some evening scented stock from Shepherd's Seeds last
year. The plant is nothing much to look at but the scent is heavenly.
Rita, for scented flowers, roses are a must! My favorites for scent are
the Portland Comte de Chambord and the albas (bloom only once). Some of
the David Austins have great scent. In a small triangular area
I have five roses, some lavender, several kinds of lilies (Regale,
trumpets, and orientals), scented geraniums, nepeta, fragrant bearded
irises, thymes, and pots of petunias (white & blue smell nice). There's
a bench, just for sitting & smelling... I plan to try tuberoses next
year (not hardy but the scent is worth it).
