Variegated Goldsturm

Hi:
I am wondering how I could encourage a variegated Goldsturm
plant to send up a bloom. This variegation has appeared 3
years in a row now but I have never noticed a bloom. Any
suggestions? I am thinking I may have something valuable
for the nursery trade if the plant starts blooming--perhaps
putting it into tissue culture?
