Isabelle,
When did you start your seed? I started mine with my tomatoes in late
February. I put them outside into pots the first week of May. A month
later I had blooms. Next time I grow these phlox I'll start them later
because they gave out about August.
I'm thinking of another plant that I had at the same time. It was an ugly
little thing, but it smelled like raspberries and had a lime green blossom
that reminded me of a loose cauliflower head. Shepherd's Seeds said that
they were used in Europe at the beginning of the century because people
believed that the fragrance cleared the air. The company recommended that
you grow these in pots and hide them during the day behind something in the
garden. At dusk, set the pots around the patio to give a sweet scent to
the air.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
