I thought DNA coded for construction of proteins which mediate
specialized biological reactions resulting in growth and
differentiation, but this is an interesting theory. I remember seeing a
set of photos somewhere in the past of plant patterns: the spiraling in
cauliflower florets, the scales of pinecones, the neat branching of
umbelliferae flowers, etc. And I suppose there are mathematical
relations in these patterns.
I looked at the Mandelbrot Set some time ago and it is fascinating--is
this the one where you can go in closer with suceeding close-ups?
Well, enough. We have had plenty of rain this year and the weeds love
it. Must go slather myself with mosquito repellant and pull them.
