Eryngium
I just found the most gorgeous plant in a gallon size: was labelled
Eryngium planum. When I looked it up, I read about a plant called
Eryngium alpinum, which sounds like the one I have. Does anyone know if
these are the same plant?
It has spiky bracts, leaves and stems as well as conical flowerheads,
all suffused with a soft purplish blue. It is about 24" tall now, and
would be lovely in a mass planting. Can anyone tell me about the
conditions it likes? Does the color last all season? I am tempted to go
back and get more plants of this.
