Hi Jaime,

I seemed to recall watching something on one of the cable channels
about peat harvesting, so I went out and searched the Internet
for information confirming what I thought I had seen.

   I came up with

      http://peatmoss.com/pm-efaq.html

which is the "Peat Moss FAQ" by the Canadian Peat Moss Association.
They have several good links at the bottom, including one about
environmental issues with peat moss harvesting.

When I was up in Tomah, WI ("cranberry capital of the world", and a
peat moss growing place) they claimed that their peat moss crop
regenerated every three years (but I can't find the brochure and
it's not mentioned on their web site).

Is it possible that there are different kinds? I don't doubt
what Dr. Riley is saying, but it seems to contradict the findings
by the North American Wetlands Conservation Council. There
has to be some explanation why...

Chris
