Thank you, I had a lot of fun with that. And I appreciate all the
comments. Well, most of them, anyway. A few people just wanna' gripe.
Sorry, I'm not bothered. At all.

While the subject of "birdhouse gourds" is not included in the range of
the Perennial List, I'll make this e-mail relevant, none-the-less.

I purchased my seeds for 'Birdhouse Gourds' from:

Pinetree Garden Seeds
Box 300
New Gloucester, ME 04260

(207) 926-3400

The catalog is free, and I love the place. I import seeds and plants from
all over the world, but Pinetree is great for some of the basic stuff, and
carries a lot of the more unusual stuff. Try them. They're great.

As for the Birdhouse Gourds: Plant the seeds, grow the gourds, harvest
them, and dry them in your garage. After they've hardened, sand them, drill
an appropriate hole for the bird you're trying to attract, shellac it, let
it dry, and hang it up in an area that is frequented by the little demons.
Of course, it's not all that simple, but just do a search on the Internet,
and you'll find all you need to know to know.

Okay, here we go with the "releveant to the perennials@mallon.com" thing.

If you desire any seeds of a marvelous Hollyhock, sold under the name
"Blackberry Swirl", I will have them available, soon. It's a wonderful
double: purplish-black and glistening-white, and tall (8 feet!). I'm very
happy with it, and I'm sure you will be to.

Send a self-addressed and stamped envelope to:

Keith Romanczyk
5900 Youngers Road
Bliss, New York 14024

....and I'll send you the seeds as soon as they mature. Please enclose no
money, that's not what this is about. I thought it would be fun to share.

Keith, WNY, zone 5
