Ann, I overwinter mine in the GH where it will continue to bloom off and on
if kept warm enough. Someone posted a great description of holding them
over in a dormant state within the last week or 2 on this list. Check the
archieves, it should be there. I vaguely recall someone posting a message
about taking cuttings in the fall and just holding the cuttings over in a
jar of water and then potting them up when they show signs of growth in the
spring, but I don't remember what list this post was on - maybe the Hobby
Greenhouse list. Yes they can be grown as a summer bedding plant. The most
beautiful one I ever say was planted in a bed next to the house with
southern exposure. It was roof high and must have had 30+ trumpets hanging
on it. There was a mini traffic jam in the street from people stopping to
look at it!
