Hi, Jeanne, Marilyn, & others --
I believe the double orange you've been discussing is called
'Kwanzo' (or Kwanso). It was an early hybrid derived from the
common wild orange daylily that spreads everywhere and is a
single. Kwanzo is still available from some catalogs -- if anyone
would choose to plant it! :-)
BTW, the daylily-open discussion list, also hosted at mallorn,
is experiencing some activity and some of you daylily enthusiasts
