If it is truly a crinum, it won't be hardy much north of Zone 7. If it was
ID'd as a crinum simply by the picture at the bulb society site, look at
the picture of Lycoris squamigara at the same site. They look quite
similar. The bulbs of lycoris, however are usually flattened on 1 side,
while those of crinum are quite round in horizontal cross section.
