I've never ordered from Brecks so can't vouch for the quality of the bulbs. I
believe they export them from the Dutch as do most bulb dealers. A caveat,
however. If you care about having cultivars correctly named, Brecks believes
more in marketing than accuracy for daffodils. I think they may have cleaned
this up recently, but they used to picture a green daffodil they named
'Pistachio'. The daffodil experts tell me that in reality this daffodil is
'Spellbinder' and the photo's color has been altered to give it a greenish
cast. 'Spellbinder' is a lemony yellow daffodil that also exhibits some
reverse (after the all-yellow flower opens, it begins to change to white,
starting where the trumpet meets the perianth and spreading out one both
trumpet and perianth, but retaining some yellow on the outside). My warning
would be to add a few grains of salt to their catalog descriptions and don't
get too excited over their vivid colors--the reality may disappoint.

But if others say they furnish quality bulbs, I won't argue with that, and if
that's all you're looking for, then give them a try. Since I collect
daffodils I'd rather have correctly named ones.
