Hmmm. If it weren't for the height descrepancy, I would have said it sounds
like a Gaillardia. However, consulting my Wyman's Gardening Encyclopedia,
I see that G. aristata (Common Blanket-flower) is listed has having a
height of 2-3 ft. Personally, I've never seen one that tall - all the
cultivars available around here are usually less than 1 ft. Sounds
impressive. Can you get any seeds? :)
