Basically, what the tag says. Texensis hybrids
bloom later, they are tulip-shaped, upside down
though. One piece of advice: Don't plant in
too much shade, mine didn't flower then, just
grew and grew. Maybe because they're from
Texas they like heat?
Even though its reported that climatis like cool
feet and warm head, the problem I had was
planting it on the cool side of the host shrub
(mock orange) it didn't get enough sun.
Current advice from a primo British climatarian
is they like everything in the sun (not just their
head), but need ample water. This is definitely
true. The few climatis I've ever lost were in
places that could be water-deprived without
extra effort (like under the eaves or too close to
the host who was robbing all moisture).
Enjoy!

I recently found a clematis on a bargain table at
the local nursery. It is
called Texenis Duchess of Albany. The tag
describes it as pink, bell-shaped
flowers with cherry-red bar. Does anyone know
anything about this one?
