Marilyn,
I grow them in full sun because that's all I have, too. There are some
that are in partial shade only because the surrounding plants provide it.
These are in a border that has become overgrown thanks largely to an
over-eager rugosa rose and some buddleas that refused to die down in the
past few winters.
I have the small ones that only grow about 6" tall as a front-border edger,
but these don't seem to like our humidity at all. They are lush in the
spring and fall, but during the summers falter quite a bit.
