Hi Lisa, I grow C. pyramidalis the same as my other Campanulas, in moist
well-composted part shade. I think it would perform better with more sun.
Mine leans toward the sun and must be staked. As to the Cherry Bells not
blooming, perhaps your soil is so rich and wonderful with nitrogen rich
horse manure that your plant is growing lots of leaves (and no flowers) in
response. Try adding some "Mor-Bloom" 0-10-10 to aid flower bud formation.
It couldn't hurt and it might help.

HI all,
Is anyone growing C. pyramidalis and under what conditions? So far, the 3
references I have checked
have 3 different sets of cultural requirements: sun and average moisture,
shady
and moist,
part sun, moist and well drained.
Also, I have C. 'Cherry Bells' growing in an area of partial shade and it
refuses to flower.
The soil is clay improved with horse manure and the area is watered enough
that
it doesn't get parched. I have seen plants still at nurseries blooming
madly in
there pots, so anybody know
what gives?
Thanks
