Just to be technically correct (for those among us gardening in warm
places)...This Nicotiana is actually a perennial (grown as an annual
here).
In addition to the other comments already made, this species is a wild
self sower---as they say "buy one pack, have it for your lifetime." I
have probably pulled out at least 500 or more seedlings (easy to
do)...this year from one planting of 6 left to flower last season--and I
collect most of the seeds for my business; trying not to leave any
consciously to self-sow.
I am also growing the variety with wonderful white-splashed foliage
called "Splish Splash" this year. Comes quite true from seed & worth
trying.
I still prefer the other tall (tender) perennial- Nicotiana sylvestris,
for its wonderfully fragrant white flowers.
