Allan-
Is swamp milkweed any relation to butterfly weed (Asclepias tuberosa)? A
couple of years ago I noticed that the little orange/yellow bugs were always
on my butterfly weed - I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed....I would eliminate
the problem but only temporarily. I have discovered that these little aphids
don't seem to cause any harm to my butterfly weed and it seems to keep the
aphids from getting on any of my other plants so I know just let them be....I
still have wonderful blooming butterfly weed - just with a little extra color
from the bugs (ironically - the bugs are almost the same color as the blooms).
