Susan - I myself do not have window boxes or a place for them :o(....I do
love them. I have seen many articles and garden shows that have featured
this topic many times. They always recommend a soiless planting medium to
prevent it from being too weighted down and they also include a good helping
of slow release fertilizer. Have you tried this?
Do you know if there are galvenized inserts you can purchase to put into the
window box to prevent rust? For some reason I think I've seen these - just,
at the moment, cannot remember where (Smith Hawkins????).
