Gene,
Like Chris, I have sometimes been guilty of stepping closer than I should,
in spite of trying to remember not to. I find myself walking through
gardens with my hands clasped behind my back, a holdover from a "Do not
touch" childhood. In almost every case, if I've sinned, it has been
because I have seen a plant I don't recognise and want to ID it.
So I guess I would suggest that prominant and easily read garden markers
would solve a lot of the problem.
