Re: Garden tours/ Primula
OK Susan,
Now that we have found a forum to vent our frustrations... this one could go
on forever, but how about we talk plants now.
I was just presented with a gift of 4 pots of Primula rosea 'Gigas' by a
fellow nursery person who felt I should be aware of this little gem. (See the
world is not all bad manners and thoughtless individuals). It is only about 4
inches in height, will spread out slowly to around six or 8 in a few years.
Foliage is almost succulent looking. Blooms are a bright pink (neon?) with a
yellow eye. has a tiny red/pink resting bud. I am told is will take only ordinary
garden soil and prefers open shade. Familiar with this one?
You can bet your bippy this one will be in the inventory next year. The late
blooms on it now definitely have me completely enthralled.
