Tarnished Plant Bug

This is a truly terrible pest that feeds on all sorts of flowering plants.
It seems to destroy the flower buds. The tarnished plant bug builds up
populations until you have to deal with it. It hops away quickly when
disturbed returning nearly immediately after you pass. If you do not like
chemical controls, rotenone is good. Rotenone in a powdered form is useful
but needs to be reapplied after every rain. If you live in the Northeast this
year, that is nearly every day.
