I agree completely, re: buying a good-quality hose. After years of
wrestling
with cheap hoses, I finally gave up and started buying the high-end,
lifetime
guarantee ones. The brand I bought was "Flexogen", by Gilmour. It has a
complete lifetime replacement guarantee. I've had three of the hoses now
for
4 years with nary a problem. No cracking, no leaks, no kinks, etc. They
were expensive, but well worth the price when you consider the agitation
factor of crummy hose!

FWIW, when I removed the cardboard cover form the hose, I stapled my receipt
to it and tacked it to the wall inside the garage. If the hose ever fails,
I'll have the paperwork I need to haul t back to the store and ask for a
replacement.
