Not necessarily.  Hummingbirds also really love the native trumpetcreeper 
vine (Campsis radicans).  If an annual would do, another vine choice for 
hummers would be scarlet morning glory.  I am sure there are others, but 
these come to mind. 

If you have not already done so, you could also plant herbaceous perennials 
that attract hummingbirds in your garden, too.  Some of the best are: 
Monarda,  Lobelia cardinalis, and the scarlet varieties of Penstemon, Salvia 
and Heuchera.
