Bignonia capreolata. I guess I would compare it to a more refined
version of the more common (and aggressive) Campsis radicans (Trumpet
vine). I have a small cross vine that I've managed to keep alive on
the south side of my house. I am several zones north of where it is
at home, but after mild winters (like the last), it surprises me with
an mid-spring flush of blooms, although it only covers an area no
more than 3 ft square.
