OT- Re: Cornus kousa 'Rainbow'

Although Dirr does not list the cultivar, Cornus kousa 'Rainbow', you can
follow his cultural advice for the species C. kousa -- well-drained, acidic
soil in full sun to part shade.

Normally a particular cultivar of a species will not require different care
from the straight species.  Since it sounds like your plant has
lighter-colored leaves than the species, you might want to opt for part shade.
And, depending on your local heat index, part shade might be best for any C.
kousa.  Here in St. Louis where the summer afternoon sun can be hot, they do
best in morning sun and afternoon shade.

Help! I bought one of these at the wholesaler and can't find out anything
about it. There's nothing in Dirr. It's a gorgeous small tree. The leaves
are edged ih lime green with medium green centers.
Does it grow in full sun or full shade, or some of both? How tall and wide?
I am grateful for any information. Don't know where to plant it.
Thanks,
