Hello Chris,
Do watch for those deer. I love deer now that they are required to live
outside my electric fence. I'd like to tell you that when I lived in
Delmar, NY a busy suburb, I had deer on the front porch. You cannot fire a
gun within 500 feet of a residence in NYS so the deer were able to thrive and
multiply in the park areas plus along a railroad right of way. There was no
defense against deer so if you persisted in trying to garden you had to buy
high chainlink fences and gates. Solid wood fences are outside codes in many
NYS towns. As far as I know the deer are still in Delmar and still walking
around protected by law.
