Problem with Ilex Meservae 'blue prince and princess"

Help please.  Practically overnight my holly has turned yellow and is
dropping leaves.  It has lived happily in its spot (four of them all
together) for about 8 years.  I have fertilized with Miracid but not
often enough.  Do you think I should give them a shot of Miacid now, or
might this make the problem worse?
