As for daylilies, I don't have a one in bloom yet, although I'm seeing lots of buds. Surprised you've beat me in New Hampshire. After a jumpstart season, early peonies, etc., maybe it has slowed down here in SW Ohio. Bill Lee
I've been adding extra early season daylilies for years. I love the show to start as early in the garden year as I can manage. I've been collecting as many truly late daylilies as I can find too. Those are actually harder - many of the more recent "late" season hybrids seem to find the cooler temps as reason to shut down or they start blooming around the start of August, which I consider to be late mid-season.
