I 'fluffed' mine. Lemme 'splain: As I dug up a clot of daylilies, I
cut them in half, took half, broke apart what I was going to leave
behind and then replanted them making sure they covered the same area
as the old clump, just not as thickly. The new owner said she couldn't
tell where I took my half from (but I think she was just being nice).
