Well, Don, I have not tried this but Ellen Hornig (Seneca Hill
Perennials), who sold me my S. u. 'Axminster Gold' told me it could
be propagated from cuttings of the flowering stems - she said "weird,
but true".  If it is true for 'Axminster Gold', seems it ought to be
true for the species.

Glad you reminded me as mine is flowering for the first time and I
ought to give that a try.  Think I also read it could be propagated
from root cuttings, but I will not swear to this as I can't remember
where I read that one.
