Well- it this can be confused with the fern group, maybe we should use
[PRNL] instead?? I'd really like to have an abbreviation- helps one sort
through email faster.

See, now I thought this was a message to the ferns@hort.net when I saw
[PERN] in the subject line. :)
I'll make the change if there's a consensus, but last time the topic
came up a lot more people were against it than for it.
