I am enjoying my Dierama pulcherriamum also, although when I bought it a few year's back I planted it in a whiskey barrel. Usually when I do that it means I didn't have room in the garden and that was an "out of desperation" planting.
I collected seed from it last year and have a gazillion little seedlings potted up so this year I will place it in the garden as I have space now. Mine is a more rosey color.
I have one I planted two years ago that is white. It is just as interesting as the brightly colored ones.
I agree it is gorgeous and I love the arching stems of flowers.

I just have to say to someone who cares that I am just tickled with my
blooming Dierrama. It is a pinkish lavender and is five feet tall, with two arching
flower stalks. Just gorgeous. And I got it from Marilyn at Natural Designs
two seasons ago, where I will be going soon to get some more. Lilies are
beautiful, but Angels Fishing Rod, as it is so aptly called, is unique. Thanks
Marilyn!
