You can dig them now, dry them, keep them cool and ventilated in storage.  Do 
remove the foliage.

Keeping them out of the ground through the winter is chancey, you may lose 
some, perhaps many. Do you have a spot you could plant them in even temporarily? 
You could plant in very late fall, as long as you can still dig a hole (I 
have planted in late December).  Then in the spring, preferably after bloom, dig 
up clumps foliage and all and place the whole clumps in their permanent home.

I moved my whole collection in May, lifting whole clumps, soil and all, and 
moved them to the other side of town with nary a loss.
