Donna, I had mine in a sunken pot for many yrs but it didn't bloom well so I 
removed it.  I have it in dry shade so it is not so aggressive.  i love the 
bloom so will tolerate its rambling.  Campanula 'Joan Elliot' is the one I have 
been fighting for several yrs.  Lovely bloom but ugh!
