Good luck with the goutweed Chris. With tenacity and a little luck, no
chemicals, I managed to eliminate mine. It is completely gone from the
original entire front bed that was there when I moved in. But I had move
one small plant to another bed, thinking just one plant wouldn't matter. It
kept spreading and I kept pulling it out. It was down to just a fe w plants
when it actually got choked out by surrounding plants - hosta, dicentra,
asarum. There's not a sign of it left here.
Mind you, that front bed that had the Aegopodium also contained Hemerocallis
fulva. I managed to get all that out too, but transplanted some to a couple
of other locations. Over the years I've dug hundreds of pots of this
spreader to either sell or give away. This pretty much keeps it in check.
