I bought the syletta viola about 8 years ago, and still have plants every 
year in my zone 4 garden.  The plants live only a year or two but seed around so 
the new plants popup in different locations.  It such a short growing species 
that it even grows in the crack of the patio and can take being swept often 
with a broom.
