The old blooms stick to the new buds and then the buds do not open. We
can't go through hundreds of plants and deadhead but if I am walking by I do
try to keep them thinned out. If you do not want the seeds just pull them
off as you walk by. I have found that old Stella D'Oro will not rebloom
until the pods are broken off. I wish someone would combine the substance
of Stella with the yellow of Happy Returns. I wish for more yellow in my
garden and not gold.
