I agree this is terrible.  But to play a bit of the Devil's Advocate (and
with all due respect to Dan Hinkley et al.), their original sale of the
nursery to Burpee was, as far as I know, VOLUNTARY (yes, I'm sure they had
their reasons.  But when you sell the hen house to a fox, you shouldn't be
too surprised at the result.
